With the opening of the WIC Asia-Pacific Summit, the WIC Digital Academy Cybersecurity Emergency Response Advanced Training Program kicks off simultaneously in Hong Kong, marking WICDA's initial attempt to hold a thematic training program focusing on cybersecurity challenges in the AI era. Over 30 high-level representatives from Asian countries and regions, including Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, and Macao, are participating in this program. They come from government agencies and leading enterprises in fields such as cybersecurity, communications, and digital business, etc.
On April 14, following their attendance at the opening ceremony of the WIC Asia-Pacific Summit, the training program participants visited the Hong Kong Institute of Information Technology (HKIIT) for a study visit. During the visit, they explored the advanced technological facilities of the HKIIT's Cybersecurity Centre, such as cyber ranges, penetration testing systems, malware analysis tools, a security information and event management (SIEM) system, and cyberattack simulators. The group also benefited from profound insights and valuable knowledge exchange regarding the latest developments in cybersecurity threats and infrastructure security.
