Four years ago, President Xi Jinping visited Kala village in Xizang autonomous region, praising its cleanliness and calling for the protection of its wild peach forests. Recently, his concern reached the villagers once again through a heartfelt letter, inspiring them to create an even better and happier life. In the letter, he expressed his joy that the villagers had made new progress and experienced income growth.

By 2024, their per capita disposable income had surpassed 40,000 yuan ($5,583). With greater unity and higher aspirations, Kala village is determined to continue its path to prosperity — guided by care and driven by hope.
